About Jordan Kemler

I have dedicated over 15 years to teaching and tutoring. I first realized the incredible impact of focused, direct one-on-one instruction when I was seven and started working with a tutor for reading. My experience as a student with dyslexia and ADHD has fueled my passion for teaching. After teaching English in Korea for 2 years, I moved to New York City and received my Master’s in Teaching from Pace University. During my 13 years in New York City, I taught English and social studies, providing academic support to help students with dyslexia, ADHD, and executive functioning issues succeed in the classroom, enabling them to fully unlock their potential after finishing college and high school and helping them build the skills needed for a successful career.

My Master's in the Science of Teaching indicates that my formal training focuses on teaching and differentiating work for neurodivergent students. I am trained in the science of delivering information in various ways, tailored directly to the individual. When students encounter similar challenges, the solutions are not always identical and must be customized for each student. As someone who has navigated the academic and professional arena, I can understand and create programs that address the roadblocks created by a lack of executive function skills for both high school and college students.

I recently moved back to Avon, CT, with my wife and our 7-year-old son. It has been amazing to be back in Avon and see my son enjoy his new surroundings. I also enjoy exploring the beautiful country roads throughout Connecticut and skiing with my family.
